WHO WE ARE

We are an art collective rooted in graffiti, culture, and community and challenge how graffiti is viewed and to build something lasting from movement, mark, and meaning.

Dier 59

I’ve been writing as Die59/Dier59 since 2003 and am based in Providence, Rhode Island, where I was born and raised. My style has evolved over time and reflects different eras of my work. From 2003 to 2008, I leaned into a West Coast influence with thin whips, extensions, and a sharp, gritty letter finish. Since 2009, I’ve returned to my roots with a more East Coast style, so my work varies depending on the period you’re looking at.

My influences come from retro record covers and advertising from the 1970s, 80s, and early 90s, along with inspiration from local writers, including Seaz. Moving forward, I aim to continue developing my letter structure while staying focused on the streets and the culture that shaped me.

Peace and respect to everyone putting in work and staying sharp. I’m out.
